About Us

Northup Gallery is located at 191 Cemetery Hill Rd in the beautiful hills of Oneonta, New York in a renovated 1800's Barn.. This property was once my grandparents dairy farm and has been in the family since 1942!!                      We specialize in Antiques, Fine art, Mission Furniture and Vintage Lighting. Northup Gallery is also a new furniture, lighting, rug and accessory broker for several top brand name companies including Mastercraft, Arts and Crafts Industries, Quoizel, Capel Rugs, Surya Rugs, Palatial Leather, Butler Furniture, AA Laun, Country Value Woodworks Amish Furniture and many more selling at factory direct prices!! In our studio / workshop on site at the gallery is where Timothy and his team create lighting, furniture, art and sculpture from Vintage "FOUND" objects! Look for our latest creations featured on our website! Let us design something for you today and show you how you can decorate your home by blending quality new, reproductions, handmade re-purposed furniture, lighting, sculpture with period Antiques and Fine Art together to give you the home you always dreamed of.

A little bit about the owner... Timothy got his first job at an auction house at age 15 where he learned about the Antiques business and by 18 started his own business. Timothy's antique business helped pay for college at SUNY Oneonta majoring in Art History and minoring in Music Industry... that brings up the next part of the story.. Music... Timothy started playing drums at age nine, playing in bands through high school and college as a paid union musician.. His love of jazz and vintage drums led him to put together an impressive, very large collection of vintage drums and percussion accessories! In 2020 he created the NORTHUP DRUMS MUSEUM, which is a history tour of 100 years of the development of  American drums and percussion all in playable condition. A place where drummers can come play and even record vintage drums from the 1920's to modern drums. The museum was featured in the August 2022 issue of Modern Drummer Magazine!  Located in the main level at Northup Gallery. We are open by appointment.  visit our page at www.northupdrums.com
